Last week the school received a delivery of 80 hedge plants from the Woodland Trust as part of their Hedgerow Jelly project. P6/7 had great fun planting out the young plants along the new fence at the side of the playground. The plants are a mix of native species, including hawthorn, dog-rose, blackthorn (sloe), elder and rowan. In a few years we should have an abundance of fruit and berries for making Hedgerow Jelly!
