Last week P6/7 were learning about how the Mayan civilisation wore masks for different occasions and purposes – for example, some masks were made to decorate temples, while death masks were worn to protect the wearer on their journey to the afterlife.
P6/7 have made their own Mayan masks inspired by actual Mayan designs. They have come up with some very colourful and creative masks, as you can see:
