Christmas Card Orders

It’s Halloween today, so of course we’re talking about……………  Christmas!

Pupils will today be bringing home their Christmas card designs. These have already been sent away to be scanned, so can now be viewed online.

Please go to where you need to enter your child’s unique order code which will be on the label on the back of their artwork.  This will enable you to view their design, add a personalised greeting inside the cards, then place your order.

Fantastic Forest Trip

This afternoon P6/7 joined Sarah and Sarah from the RSPB for a trip to the local woods as part of our Forests topic.  After a quick picnic, the pupils went exploring to find evidence of wildlife around them, and found some fantastic examples including nibbled pine cones and mushrooms, spider-webs, feathers, burrowing-patterns in rotten wood, wood-pecker holes and of course, some poop! (some of which was probably badger, while another lot was either deer or hare).

We then got to see some specimens which Sarah had brought along, of various feathers, footprints, pellets and droppings from different forest creatures.  As we were leaving to come back to school, we saw a beautiful roe deer just in front of us on the path.

We would all like to say a huge thank you to Sarah and Sarah for a super wee trip!

Safe to be Me with Scottish Ballet

Yesterday P6/7 enjoyed a fantastic day with Rhianna, Jack, Sara and Hayley from Scottish Ballet. The dancers gave a performance to P6/7 before the pupils took part in an all-day workshop culminating in a performance where P6/7 got to perform alongside the professional dancers in front of the whole school. The pupils were all stars, working really hard and showing great enthusiasm, and putting on a fantastic show!
