On Wednesday P6/7 had a visit from Laura from the Royal Bank of Scotland. Laura spoke to the pupils about money and the importance of budgeting, and the pupils took part in a Moneywise workshop to develop their budgeting skills – where they had to use lots of maths skills too! The pupils had to work in groups to plan a party, choosing from different options for entertainment, food and venues, while keeping within a set budget. Some groups ‘spent’ almost every penny on planning the best parties they could think of, while others focused on spending as little money as possible, but everyone had great fun.
