Remembrance Poem

Chloe and Ella wrote this fabulous poem yesterday, while learning about the poppy and why we commemorate Remembrance day each year.

Blood Stained Courageous Poppy

I stand in power in the fields of death,

I sway in the ice cold wind,

While I watch the men go down,

The red blood of the bleeding soldiers,

Stain my bursting red petals,

My heart cries out in sadness,

As I watch the grieving families get torn apart,

I am the poppy,

The Courageous One.

Well done girls, what a thoughtful and powerful poem.
